WEIGHT LOSS – GOOD BYE 100 POUNDS, HELLO SUCCESS!

“I am going to lose 100lbs”

Meet Cindy Reid. The NEW & IMPROVED Cindy Reid! She might look familiar to you and perhaps you have met her before. But this is a whole new person with a whole new lease on life.

I first met Cindy about 6 years ago when another participant brought her to a run/walk clinic we were hosting. At that point Cindy was very deconditioned and struggled to keep up with even the walkers. I stayed back with her and we chatted along and kept it at a manageable pace for her.

At one point Cindy said “I am going to lose 100lbs”.  That was a big statement to make and a lot of weight loss. It would be hard work with, no doubt, some “ups and downs”. But I reassured her that it could be done and our trainers would help her, and so it began.

I told her that if she lost the weight, I would give her a complete make-over. So, not one to go back on my word; ladies and gentlemen heeeeeeere’s Cindy!

My journey took almost 6 years, but I have the rest of my life to enjoy the new healthier me! On November 1st, 2015 I stepped on the scales and hit my goal of being 120 pounds lighter than I was in 2010.

I was fooling myself thinking I was happy with myself 6 years ago. Outwardly I was happy, but inside I was miserable. Now, I have more energy and I feel younger too. I would never have believed anyone at that point if they had told me I would feel better for exercising. How could exercising, which felt so hard make me feel better? I have learned it does! Working out gives you more energy than you could ever imagine, you’ll even sleep better at night!

Changing your lifestyle takes commitment, and determination. We are our own worst enemies, sabotaging our own efforts to change, but if I can do it, YOU CAN TOO! Make that commitment to yourself, find that activity or class at the gym that you love and have fun. Try a new class, join with a friend, or call and ask about a small group training session. Make a commitment to yourself for a healthier lifestyle. You won’t regret it.

YOU CAN DO IT TOO!!

If you think you can’t do it, and weight loss is just too hard, or you can’t join a gym because you are too overweight – Just look at me!
